After randomly clicking on things, I found that if I deselected and then reselected the game screen, it acted the same as pressing the enter key.

Well that was inconvenient.

I searched the internet for any help and came up empty handed. Then I did the only thing I could think of: redownloading the patch. Didn't work. Then I too desperate measures: reinstalling the game. Didn't work. Then I resorted to the most drastic solution yet: completely uninstalling everything to do with the game and then redownloading and reinstalling absolutely everything.

And it was just with that game. All of my other games acted perfectly normal.
