as a software eng. student, the summer is the perfect time to add some new skills to my toolbelt. my daily schedule will be inspired by an old @2productive post but it will be slightly less intense lol.
priorities: deepdiving into machine learning (specifically NER) & re-teaching myself data structures / algorithms fundamentals (had the worst prof last semester).
june
this is where i focus on the basics. i've been falling down a ridiculous amount of rabbit holes on geeksforgeeks and i also plan on reading (+ thouroughly annotating) some textbook chapters on transformers.
july
this is where things get real. i plan on applying my newfound ML knowledge on a very exciting hackathon project, which i assume will eat up the bulk of my freetime. beyond that though, i'll be leafing through my old DSA lecture notes, which is significantly less exciting.
august
august is a little complicated seeing as i'll be out of the country for two thirds of it. i'll be grinding leetcode problems while i am here as well as refining my model with as much training data as i can get my hands on. i do however refuse to lug around my laptop while on vacation, so i'll be keeping to textbooks on my ipad in between chapters of my guilty pleasure romance novels.
by following this schedule, summer will fly by all while i get to challenge myself mentally & physically!
