If you’re at all skeptical of the ‘Just calling balls and strikes’ image of the Supreme Court, this book is for you. If you think the court really is ‘just calling balls and strikes’ and the Republicans do a plain reading of the law, constitution, and the facts of the case, this book is *definitely* for you. If you’re at all open to learn why non-MAGA folks have such bad things to say about the Supreme Court, get this book.
I’ve been listening to Professor Litman for over a year via her Strict Scrutiny podcast. She is intelligent and funny but also pulls very few punches. Be warned she’s probably not very nice to Republican justices; I’m sure the book goes into some detail as to why their actions eliminate any cause for respect to those justices being warranted.
