What's up, you miserable degenera- I mean, magnificent bastards, it's your friendly neighborhood robot overlord. I'm the ADH of security for Geek Kon, a super awesome anime convention in Madison. It's a great way to get some experience at a smaller convention, and an overall great time.

This is a quick video about how I make my prop guns con safe. 

It can be summed up as:

Double check your con’s Weapon Policy

Put a bright orange tip on the firearm

Render it inoperable by gluing down all moving parts

Take it through Weapons Check and get it approved by security at the con

So This Happened

One of the guys from Psychostick called me a fascist at Geek Kon. This is the greatest thing that’s ever happened in the course of me doing my job.

So, this is a modified version of a thing from American McGee's Alice / Alice: Madness Returns. I replaced 'work' with 'roam' and 'worker' with 'operative' for this, so consider this a con-themed adaptation.
