Ever since they can remember, Evander and Artemisia were treated as equals. Certainly, Evander was the heir but their parents hadn’t done much to stress the importance of that past only making a big deal out of things if the other pureblood parents did. It wasn’t entirely ideal since Evander wasn’t a fan of being put in the spotlight, but they knew how to act like they enjoyed the extra attention. Thick as thieves, Evander couldn’t have been happier to join Artemisia at Hogwarts. A four-year age gap did little to dull the relationship they had.

As the war worsened, Evander thought little of it despite knowing the family hadn’t picked a side. They weren’t in much of a rush to do so up until Artemisia was attacked. Being afraid of losing their sibling has left Evander latching onto Artemisia a little more than usual.

In order to take some of the weight of disappointment off Artemisia’s shoulders, Evander has taken the Dark Mark. Artemisia is unaware, and Evander hopes to keep things that way. It’s proving to be a bit of a struggle since Fenrir’s pack has been providing more assistance to the Dark Lord than before.

James Potter - Evander is suspicious of James. Lord Voldemort acquired the newly marked Death Eater in their ranks and Evander believes they can see through whatever mask Potter is hiding behind, knowing the mark wasn’t taken from James seeing the error of their ways.

Marlene McKinnon - There is something about Marlene that always manages to hold Evander’s interest. While the two don’t necessarily get along, Evander can appreciate the witty banter that comes about when they speak to each other.

Alecto Macnair - Evander cannot stand Alecto. A comment was made shortly after Artemisia’s attack and they weren’t able to tell if Alecto was joking or not. Either way, Evander took offense and hasn’t bothered to hide their annoyance toward Alecto.

Alecto Carrow Exonerated

After some deliberation, it was decided that Alecto Carrow was uninvolved with the events that led to her and several others being imprisoned. The former death eater has been deemed innocent of all charges including having escaped and is expected to receive compensation for the Ministry’s faux pas.

Head Auror Longbottom was unavailable for commentary, with his secretary offering the reminder to remain vigilant since Bellatrix Lestrange, Rodolphus Lestrange, Rabastan Lestrange, and Barty Crouch Jr. are still at large.

Alecto Carrow - Unrelenting bully. Dorcas ended up as one of Alecto’s targets early on during their school career. It took eight years to stand up to the bully and prove they were a force to be reckoned with. Dorcas hasn’t thought about Alecto since.

Edward Tonks - Occasionally babysits Nymphadora for Ted and Andromeda, takes no blame in the word ‘sh!t’ having entered the child’s vocabulary and definitely did not say it after almost setting the kitchen on fire while cooking.

Sirius Black - The two dated briefly and quickly decided they weren’t into each other, breaking up on mutual terms but allowing Sirius to have made a dramatic exit from it.

Connections

Amelia Bones - The unexpected ally. Remus ran into Amelia during the early days of applying for jobs. Amelia was the person that spoke to Remus during the only Ministry interview they earned. They personally flooed Remus to explain why they didn’t get the position and vowed to look into why the interviewed was flagged with Remus’ condition. Amelia claimed they didn’t want Remus or anyone else to run into the issue again since turning into a werewolf one day out of the month shouldn’t serve as a reason to ban someone from getting a job.

Kingsley Shacklebolt - The auror surprised Remus a month into joining the Order of the Phoenix. Kingsley seemed standoffish at first and quickly became a friendly face that encouraged Remus to speak up when unhappy with assignments Dumbledore suggested.

Amycus and Alecto Carrow - There was no knowing what Remus did to earn the Carrow twins’ wrath. A three year age difference should have been enough for the two to play nicely while at school. With Remus as a target, they had their hearts set on tormenting the younger student until they graduated from Hogwarts. Once out of school, the two ignored Remus but the very sight or mention of either twin is enough to make Remus’ heart race.
