Synthetic Starlight

It’s hard to remember what she was after falling into the lower depths. The dark, gritty streets were so unlike the heaven from where she’d stumbled. The lonely holo-board was cracked; scuffed from neglect, its sickly light flickering in the dark of the storm. Ari stared up in silent reverence, squinting so as to not be blinded by the plasma-light and pattering rain. Her own face stared back at her—plastered across an advertisement for all to see—trapped in a single moment that now felt more fake than the illumination it was displayed on.

Just a little something I’ve been working on off to the side. A story inspired by Blade Runner 2048, Cyberpunk, and Tron! I hope to get more developed that I can share with you :3
