#concerning tagging

For those of you who care, I’m updating one of my tagging methods.

When it comes to superheroes, I will use their names for the movies and their real names for the characters. So if there’s a certain superhero you hate to see [ex. Hulk], blacklist their real names [ex. Bruce Banner]. Villains will also probably follow this procedure even though their supervillain names are not normally used as movie titles.

I’ve been all over the place with this previously, and it is driving me nuts.

EDIT: Thor is the exception, but his first movie will be tagged as Thor 1.

As a lot of new people followed me recently (HELLO THERE and thank you <3) just a little thing on tags. I use my tags rather liberally, but I tag almost every possible trigger with the respective trigger cw (e.g. violence cw, torture cw, and so on) that you can blacklist it. For doing so I can highly recommand tumblr savior or xkit :)

I use

#not tolkien

for everything that is not tolkien, sorted by the following tags

#photography

#asoiaf

#got

#pretty people

#fashion

These posts are rare in comparison to Tolkien, maybe 5% in total, but they are there :)

Additionally I have the tags

#shippy edit

#shippy fanart

#concerning shipping

for anything shipping. I also use the respective shipnames (barduil, russingon, etc.) or x/x (Curufin/Finrod, e.g)

yeah i fear you’ll all have to blacklist #crimson peak if you don’t wanna see it as it will appear every once and a while on your dash. THIS STUFF IS LITERALLY just SOO my kind of stuff that it hurts.

It’s dark, it’s terrifying, it has nice clothes in it (and pretty ppl wearing them), it totally reminds me of a dark alice in wonderland for adults and all those E.T.A Hoffmann novels (especially  The Sandman) and a Band (Samsas traum) I love so much. DJFKADSL.

hello. from what I've understood, blacklisting doesn't work if the tw/cw is in front of the word. I think the tag needs to be somethingsomething tw and not tw somethingsomething. just thought you should know, I don't use it so I'm unsure. thanks!

… oh … Thanks for that hint, I certainly have to check this out.

I have a thousand things blacklisted but no tw/cw is among them, but I’ll try to find out.

If any of my followers has experience with that, pls tell me :)
