hey there - if you want to, im wondering if you have an idea what this easter egger ive got has going on. obviously it doesn't have its final adult feathering yet, but it doesnt look like anything ive seen.

Hmmm... I'm really not good with chick colors. I always say wait and see!
My initial thought was barred but if it is blue like I think it is then barring wouldn't show up.
I do think it looks most like a blue silver quail color based on the white breast and blue feathers on the back. However, it also appears to have some gold on the back so I'm not sure about that. Could the gold be a sign of Mahogany? Regardless, I think it is probably Duckwing based with Columbian or Darkbrown/Ginger giving it the white breast. With a melanizer.
Or the white breast feathers could be from a split base: DuckwingxPartridge. e+/e^b
I'm still going to say wait and see because the color changes so much as they grow up!
I wish I had pictures of my blue quail colored chicks at that stage but I never take pictures of them at that age.
