can you give me opinions on coining a term about being circumstantially intersex? it would be a broad term for any intersex experience.
it's like condi- from condigender. probably condintersex.
it means that one is intersex but they don't fit every definition of intersex. this includes not fitting minimalistic and limited descriptions of intersex.
and it's also a fluid experience. I myself feel more comfy under mesosex, but sometimes I'm just intersex. but other times I don't even feel intersex. I struggle to identify as such because though I'm not conformist, I don't appear GNC enough.
what do you think? no need for this label to exist if you don't find useful
If it helps people then go for it! My mentality is put it out there and see if it takes. I think condisex might be easier to say but it maybe won't be as clear. 🤔
I personally identify solidly as intersex - I coined mesosex for the benefit of a friend and some other people I know. After a bunch of discussion we've revised mesosex to mean "one has an intersex variation that doesn't conform to perisex ideas about intersex".
So there's more overlap with the new mesosex definition but the vibe I get from your ask is you also have a fluidity to your intersex identity that maybe isn't captured by mesosex?
You probably already know this but I just wanna also say that being, looking, and/or feeling GNC isn't a requirement to be intersex. Most intersex people align with a binary gender.
Which makes me wonder if hat you're trying to capture is a sense of fluidity and contextuality about your relation between intersex and gender? If so I'd recommend looking for language about being fluid about being intergender, rather than being fluid about being intersex? I know there are a bunch of subtypes of intergender listed here.
Hope that helps! Let me know what you come up with 🙂
