What is the probability of an event A given that event B has occurred? We call this conditional probability, and it is governed by the formula that P(A|B) which reads "probability of A given B" is equal to the P(A intersect B)/P(B).

just calculated conditional winning probabilities for "Let Em Roll!" on the price is right for 1, 2, and 3 turns, because what else do you do on a tuesday afternoon?

keep in mind each d6 has 3 car sides.

Turn 1: a solid 1/32 chance of rolling all cars. yikes.

Turn 2: 211/992 chance of rolling all cars, assuming you didn't get it on turn 1. this comes out to between 1/5 and 1/4. overall chances of having won the car by the end of having 2 turns is 243/1024, or a bit less than 1/4.

Turn 3: 9031/24992 of finally obtaining Five Cars. comes out to between 2/5 and 1/2. overall chances of getting a car if 3 turns were won rises to 16807/32768, which is over 1/2.
