So I was talking to this girl who was preparing a speech on how to tighten a budget, to help students thinking about moving out
Me: I think you're overestimating how much money students will have when they move out, and underestimating how much every thing costs.
Me: well, I actually live on my own, and personally I'm almost always broke.
Her: well maybe you just don't know how to budget. MY mother taught me how and Im so ready to move out. Where are your extra expenses?
Her: Well maybe if you cut out little things you think you need, like starbucks and hair stylings-
Me: I have a coffee machine at my house and I get trims at great clips.
Her: Well maybe its clothes-
Me: I shop off seasons in clearance and at goodwill to make sure I don't waste money very rarely do I buy retail price clothing.
Her: Maybe if you got a smaller cable package-
Her: You don't have CABLE!?
Me: I can't afford it and the car insurance and I work so much I barely watch tv anyway.
Her: Your parents stopped paying your insurance!?
Me: ...You really don't get this 'real world' thing do you?
