I genuinely wonder what people who were very involved in crafting Spock’s character, namely Gene Roddenberry, D. C. Fontana, and Leonard Nimoy would think of Star Trek: Discovery with the additions and alterations it makes to Spock’s backstory, especially considering how none of them liked the idea of Spock having a sibling since they had always envisioned him as an only child, which I agree fits his characterization best. There’s something to be said about not feeling forced to adhere to the wishes of people who are long dead, but I think it goes to show how TOS canon should probably be left untouched for modern Trek shows and movies.

“I don' get it why so many people thought that Gabriel wouldn't be Hawkmoth. That "errors" that were claimed as proof against the theory are in almost every other animation-show. I'm happy that we finally know about Hawkmoth's identity”
