Some of the more unhinged people in the fandom seem to be forgetting that watching a show set in the eighties is not an excuse or pass to start re-enacting the racism and homophobia and absolutely wankstain mindsets of the era.

It is absolutely fine if you don't like a specific character. Some of them are badly written. Some are plain fucking annoying. But I'd honestly rather people just up and say they found a character annoying rather than losing all control over themselves and going on rabid rants about how they're evil and deserve horrible things happening to them and how all their fans deserve the same.

And if you honestly think some of the things you people are saying, I'm begging you to get help. Genuine, real-life therapy. It is absolutely not normal to perceive a person, even one you dislike, and start immediately thinking about how you'd love for them to be r*ped or calling them racist/queer slurs. That is downright dangerous.
