MINI CONFESSIONAL -- DATED FRIDAY NIGHT.
1:07AM. Maximilian runs into the filming room to put his phone up to the camera with a giant grin on his face. “LOOK AT THIS! HOLY HECK,” he shouts, practically not even waiting for a microphone to be hooked up onto him. The camera takes a few seconds to focus in on Maximilian’s phone, but it’s Twitter and ‘Dem Boiz’ are #1 in the United States trending and Canada’s trending. Cordella is #2. He moves over to Facebook where he shows off the trending on that site as well before clicking the topic and showing off one of the fan’s videos filming it. It’s the shittiest quality, but Max is grinning ear to ear. “That’s my song. I wrote that song. I wrote like three of those songs we sung and people actually loved them. I-- I’m so..” he stares at his phone and then tries to gain the words to say about any of this. “But like, hold up look!” He moves to pull up his instagram app and goes to his activity. He shows the notifications and then refreshes them. Every time, there’s more followers and more comments and more tags added.
“My phone activity is never going to go back to normal, is it?” he asks with a small grin on his face. “I’m so excited. I just -- I can’t believe something I was told I’d never be successful in was actually a hit. It was actually something people enjoyed. And I’m with these guys who are literally amazing and so talented. I’m honestly blessed. I can’t believe this happened but I’m so glad it did!” The brunet runs his hands through his hair before sighing and going quiet. There’s a comment that falls out of his mouth, not even remotely meaning to say it out loud. “I really wonder what my dad thinks of all of this. I wonder if he was wrong on purpose.”
Max glances back up and just shakes off the worriment and discouraged look he has on his face. “I can’t wait to see what Cordella actually thinks of this. I hope we did as well as we think we did and with the fan reactions, I think... I think this was a good thing.”
