It was probably the last warm day. 

A bright October day, and when Phobos rolled out of bed, checking the forecast on his phone, he made a soft ‘oh’.

He leaned away from the kitchen counter, waiting for his water to boil for tea, not coffee, looking out the living room window. It was bright out, and at the very least didn’t sound windy. 

He didn’t even wait for it to steep, just filled the mug and let the teabag float before heading to the door. He shoved his feet into some tennis shoes, backs flattening, and only thought for a second whether or not he should lock up before deciding not to, and heading out to the backyard.

Most days, it wasn’t much to look at. The grass, where it wasn’t dead patches, had overgrown, with a rotten flowerbed in the corner, just dirt. 

But right now?

Right now, the sky was bright blue and clear. The grass was lush and vibrant, the fence around the yard was strong and tall. Phobos took a sip of his tea and ignored how it burned his tongue, only tasting the slight bitterness. 

It was a good day. The last warm day of the year.

1. I actually really love the designs in the She-ra reboot!! i especially love glimmers design, its aesthetically pleasing while being simple and practical. also. sparkle hair. I was never attached to the original though, i think i only ever saw one episode (the art style kinda scared me lol) as such im not sure if i can give you the kind of review and breakdown you’re looking for

I saw one ask about the twins in noble attire and since I want to procrastinate on my math homework I’m thinking why not? So do you have any ideas for exactly what kinds of clothing Phobos and Deimos would have worn? Like styles or colors? Would there be like a sort of uniform dress code? If so would the boys break it and how?

OH OH OH OKAY so I don’t have a proper reference drawn up but I scoured through my notes and doodles and found this!

Phobos’s nobleman attire is based heavily on his Starlight Brigade uniform. He has a lot of braids, a fancy gold and ruby circlet on his head, and an optional cape. Deimos wore the same thing. Sorry the sketch isn’t the clearest, but it’s the best I got on short notice! I don’t have definitive colors down, but definitely similar to SLB Phobos colors.

As for how he broke dress code? Well, the long hair was one way (even though he did braid it so it still looked nice and fancy), but he probably also took the jacket off and rolled his sleeves up, too.

Deimos, weren’t you a kid when the cops picked you up? What happened? And what are you gonna do when you get out of jail?

I only ask cause this is one of the ideas on my gunna draw list, but what would have happened if Deimos had wanted to join Phobos with the boys instead of tearing Phobos away? Not only how would it be different story wise but how would Deimos be a different person?

Hmm.... That’s a thinker. That’s a thinkin’ question right there. Hm.

Best case scenario is that Deimos decides he wants to join Phobos and his friends from the start, doesn’t bother sabotaging their Time Crystal, and they just meet up and reconnect and become friends again. Dei would probably have a rocky relationship with Meouch, but I think they’d be able to sort it out, just like Phobos was able to.

The obviously less-good scenario is that Deimos decides to go with Phobos after he turned them all into kids. Phobos would be wary, Sung would be wary, Meouch and Havve would be pissed. Sung always tries to see the best in people, and he would want to give Deimos a chance more than anyone. Phobos would want to give Deimos a chance, but knowing that Deimos is capable of being cruel like that... it would hurt. It would put a real damper on things, to say the least. Phobos would be freaked. Meouch and Havve would be super protective, and they wouldn’t trust Deimos for a second.

Deimos... I’m not sure what he would be like. He would have premeditated turning his brother and his friends into kids and then trying to kill them. Either way, he wouldn’t be the person that Phobos remembered, and I wouldn’t trust him.
