“Oh. Uh... Mich didn’t want me to explain much, but I was sort of talking about uh... Different immortal species? And their varying reproductive habits!” He’s still holding the book in his hands, lightly tapping the side. “Uh... You think she’d be mad if I lent you this book? I mean, I’ll need it back eventually cause a friend of mine is gonna be pissed if i lose it, but you can read through it! It’s got, uh, all these different types of immortals and their habitats and diets and reproductive habits and stuff, like...” He flips it open, then searches for a page. Opening it led to an entry on slime people.
“Like these! I encountered them early on when I first started traveling, but they’re, like, these water creatures that absorb stuff like rain water and morning dew and even small water droplets in the air! And then when they got to a certain size, they would just split in half, like an amoeba or something reproducing asexually.”
Ah, his inner nerd was coming out! Was he rambling too much? Mich was gonna be mad...
Damian looks away sheepishly, and holds the book out for Jack to take. “I’m talking too much, haha, sorry... Don’t wanna spoil things for ya if ya wanna read it.”
