FADING ISLANDS Conic Hill - Loch Lomond
Scotland, may 2019 A diversion from the famous path West Highland Way in Scotland https://www.westhighlandway.org/the-route/ Conic Hill is a summit we reached climbing up from Balmaha, where we enjoyed a majestic view of the Loch Lomond islands.
It is a wonderful experience, a short, but steep climb, with a breathtaking view at the top of the path https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/lochlomond/conic-hill.shtml We carried on following the path around the hill, walking in a circle which ended at Dryman. And enjoyable, quiet easy and relaxing walk.
I had such an amazing weekend with my best pal visiting the devil’s pulpit and going a walk up conic hill. 🌲🍃🏞
Day 2 : my feet are sore...
After picking up our renting car at the Edinburgh train station, we headed to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs national park. Nice ride to go there with amazing landscapes. We went first to Balmaha to take a hike up Conic Hill (361m).
It was not an easy hike for me because it was hot. But i won't complain because we are lucky to have that amazing weather and you forget everything when you reach the top. (I swear there is no filter it's the real colors 😍)
Incredible view on Loch Lomond and its islands. Natural border between the lowlands on the left and the Highlands on the right.
You should have seen my face when I was up there. I almost shed a tear lol it was so beautiful.. there was a guy from California who was playing ukulele at the top. Magical!
After this unforgettable hike we went to Loch Katrine and Loch Venachar by the Duke's Pass. An amazing scenic road. Very peaceful place and such breathtaking views.
Let's go to Glasgow tomorrow 😎
