Part 2: Decadent Damon is finished! For more videos check part 1 in my previous post. See this automaton in person as part of the Conjoined 10 year Anniversary Show at the @coprogallery ! This is my collaboration with @ebinard. She created the scenic ground with the dirt, grass, moss, fruit, brass leaves, and little creatures. She made the couch and ottoman, vases and wine glass with wine in it. Emily is an award winning taxidermist. She mounted the baby opossum then designed/created its toga and added a brass leaf. I modified the toga to be longer so I could hide the electronics and also do a reveal. I good gilded the claws and created a prosthetic arm. I animated the arm, the head, tail and toga. I created and added all the jewelry (arm cuff, rings, toe rings, necklace, wine glass front, pearl feather pin, and Prince Albert). I put the antique cartouche in one hand. I preserved the calistamos seed pods and flowers, modified them, and added them to each bed post. I gold gilded the couch mouse heads that Emily sculpted and added real ruby eyes. The brass base and glass dome were mine but Emily and I decided on them together. This piece features genuine diamonds, rubies, amethyst, and peridot gemstones.
