Say hello to our first Guest Curator of the week @amyhoodlum! Amy Hood is a Principal Designer and one half of the twin duo that founded Hoodzpah, Inc (@hoodzpahdesign) a boutique brand identity agency in Newport Beach, CA. Amy's logo and identity work centers around custom wordmark and lettering solutions. She recently got into font design, releasing her first font, Palm Canyon Drive with Retro Supply Co, and she is currently working on her brand new font, Beverly Park, to be released later this month through @hoodzpahdesign. • When she is not spewing Lakers stats at the local bar, Amy can be found designing goods for @oddsandsodsco, or driving up PCH in her 1972 Mercedes wailing along to honky tonk love songs and looking for the closest In-N-Out. She is a co-founder of the creative meet up, #ConnectingThings (with chapters all over the US) and co-authored the book “Freelance and Business and Stuff: A guide for creatives” (#FABAS) with her sister Jennifer based on the Professional Practices class they taught at Laguna College of Art & Design. • You can find both Hoods traveling around the US for their fall workshop tour based on the book, including a (sold out) Goodtype workshop next weekend!
