Guiso de fabas con espinacas

Quentiño, completo, sinxelo, saudábel e delicioso, este guiso é  un prato ideal para estes dias de friaxe. Apetécevos? Pois é moi sinxelo de preparar.

Os ingredientes necesarios son pouquiños:

Fabas (nós usamos uns 400 g. de conxeladas)

Espinacas (optamos por uns 450 g. de conxeladas)

Media cabaza tipo butternut ou medio tercio de cabaza laranxa

Dous chourizos frescos (mellor se están lixeiramente afumados)

Dous ou tres filetes de pavo ou polo

Catro patacas medianas

Unha cebola mediana

Aceite de oliva virxe extra

Sal

E a preparación da receita é ben doada:

1. Poñemos ao lume unha ola grande, con auga pola metade. Cando a auga ferva, botamos as fabas e sal ao gusto.

2. Pelamos a cebola, cortámola en anacos e botámola tamén na ola.

3. Tras uns 15 minutos cocendo as fabas, engadimos as espinacas conxeladas. En caso de que as usedes frescas, deberedes esperar a botalas case ao final de todo, pois con menos de 5 minutos de cocción será suficiente para elas.

4. Cortamos en tres ou catro anacos cada chourizo e botámolos tamén na ola.

5. Salgamos os filetes. Pelamos e cortamos en anaquiños a cabaza. Reservamos.

6. Cando as fabas leven 20 minutos cocendo, engadimos as patacas en anacos. Ao cortar as patacas, iremos chascándoas de forma que solten máis almidón para facer máis espeso o guiso.

7. Cinco minutos despois de engadir as patacas, engadimos os filetes de polo e a cabaza cortados en anaquiños.

8. Deixamos cociñar ata que todo esté suficientemente brando, engadimos un chorriño de aceite de oliva, rectificamos de sal e servimos ben quente.

Meet our second Guest Curator of the week @thegoodhood! Jen Hood is a mildly tortured artist and one half of the twin duo behind @HoodzpahDesign (a boutique branding agency) and @OddsandSodsco (a goods line of unnecessary necessaries). She also started @Weconnectthings (a creative meetup with franchises in 5 states) with local friends in Orange County. • She’s been both roasted and praised for her work on Under Consideration’s Brand New. Someone once said her rebrand looked like Jennifer Grey’s nose job — "better before". It was a good humbling experience. Her ego recovered when she was able to work with 20th Century Fox on movie logo concepts. • She’s 5’2” but dreams of dunking. She’s addicted to television, although she's late to most of the must-see shows (only just started watching Friends). After teaching a professional practices class for graphic design seniors at LCAD for 4 years, she and her Hoodzpah co-founder Amy wrote a book on the very topic, titled: “Freelance, and Business, and Stuff: a Guide for Creatives” (#FABAS). You can grab it on the Hoodzpah site. She’ll even be judging the entries for the upcoming Logo Lounge book! We can't wait to see the work and artists who inspire her. Say hello to our first Guest Curator of the week @amyhoodlum! Amy Hood is a Principal Designer and one half of the twin duo that founded Hoodzpah, Inc (@hoodzpahdesign) a boutique brand identity agency in Newport Beach, CA. Amy's logo and identity work centers around custom wordmark and lettering solutions. She recently got into font design, releasing her first font, Palm Canyon Drive with Retro Supply Co, and she is currently working on her brand new font, Beverly Park, to be released later this month through @hoodzpahdesign. • When she is not spewing Lakers stats at the local bar, Amy can be found designing goods for @oddsandsodsco, or driving up PCH in her 1972 Mercedes wailing along to honky tonk love songs and looking for the closest In-N-Out. She is a co-founder of the creative meet up, #ConnectingThings (with chapters all over the US) and co-authored the book “Freelance and Business and Stuff: A guide for creatives” (#FABAS) with her sister Jennifer based on the Professional Practices class they taught at Laguna College of Art & Design. • You can find both Hoods traveling around the US for their fall workshop tour based on the book, including a (sold out) Goodtype workshop next weekend!
