There's so much truth in this statement. I can't let go of the expectations of the people around me. I am living the life that others have chosen for me. And I know it. I tell myself little lies that I dont have to change. That wanting to be a woman is just a character flaw. I know in my heart, I want to be a woman. But yet, I'm afraid to do anything about it. Its about my relationship with my wife and my parents and job. Its not doubts about being transgender. I have to face the real fear that prevents me from moving forward. The fear of rejection, fear of disappointing people, and using that fear to stop myself from ever dealing with this. This is my next step in my counseling. To face these fears. Because by facing them and learning to overcome them, I will finally deal with being trans.
I've learned that where you fear the most is the place where you need to face the most. And that is what I am going to do. This is where I am going to be working with my therapist.
True freedom comes from running into your fear not away from it. And that is what I am determined to do. If I can do it, you can do it too.

I conquered my fear and I'm using a nail gun (by far the scariest tool ever). I feel way too powerful now 💪
Flashback:This shot was taken a few years ago at iFlyHollywood--One of my biggest fears is heights, but I always wanted to try skydiving. I started with this. They gave me a lesson and then I went into an air tube with my instructor. We whooshed up and down and there was no fear, only absolute elation! It was amazing! I remember having dreams of flying when I was a child, and this felt like I was really living that dream again. It was as if I already knew how to fly - for real! Would you give this a try? What is one fear you would like to try and conquer?

Today, I am proud of myself. Why? I have a fear of rejection, and I keep getting rejected over and over. But I keep putting myself out there anyways. And I know that one day I’ll find someone who loves me back just as much, committedly. And on that day, I know all of this will be worth it.
