W H O C O N T R O L S Y O U R V A L U E When you're working within a specific community, hanging within a consistent group of friends and/or have ambitious aspirations leading towards a better quality of life, your perceived value is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT in the modern world, and some may argue, even back during biblical times where people used deception (Jacob & Esau) or even murder (Cain & Abel) to jockey for a greater position & levels of prestige and favor I won't expound in great detail about this, but I will say that I still occasionally struggle with this nowadays as opposed to the period when I struggled with it frequently. I've gotten better at it, but every now and then, I have to remind myself of the value God has for me (1st Corinthians 12:22-23), the glory God wants for himself (Isaiah 42:8) and the sentiments of Colossians 3:23-24 to try a find a balance (word to @atmosphere). I think it's toughest from a financial perspective: the moments where your exceptional job/career performance could led to a promotion, but it goes unrecognized or worse yet, it's taken advantage of, the recognition is misplaced and it SEEMS like you're gonna be stuck in the same place FOREVER.... However, if we truly serve God in spirit and in truth, and we have faith in what he has for us, you gotta stay solid in your purpose and your motivation for being the best you can be. The rest? God will work out in due time. It's like @sirlouisii preached in a sermon recently, sometimes in #GoingGreater....you gotta be LAST Might be weird to hear....
