Tomb Raider (2013) - All Cutscenes

My very quick review of Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft (as someone who's played the games):

Don't know if I'm crazy or not but did they use some sort of clip from the 2013 TR game for Roth's radio voice at the very start of ep 1?

Lara's voice actress did a good job, but it didn't feel right to me🥲

I initially loved how Zip was included, but after watching it, I changed my mind. Making a canonically masculine and straight man into the stereotypical gay and feminine best friend was not it...

To add onto their inclusion of Zip, I kinda wish we at least had some cameos/references of Alister and Winston.

I literally freaked out when I heard Richard Armitage (Trevor Belmont's voice actor from Castlevania) as Charles. His voice is just so great for animations.

The show pushing the whole Lara & Sam ship was so stupid and I hate it😬Lara doesn't need a love interest in my opinion and even if she did, Sam's a terrible option.

I also don't care to see Sam as the damsel in distress (again) considering the cliffhanger.

Overall, it was okay. 6.5/10.

i’m watching the new tomb raider anime after playing many of the games over the years and i would love to write lara croft? i would love to write her against roth in an au setting? somehow he doesn’t die. maybe she thinks he dies and runs into him years later? i have a bunch of ideas i’d happily bounce back and forth with someone.

if not roth, i’d happily write lara against a male oc. i’m not really picky, all i know is i want angst, slow burn, and eventually some spice. please be 21+ for potential nsfw themes and be willing to write on discord using tupper. i always prefer quality over quantity, but i will quickly get bored with one liners. if i’m really enjoying the plot i can write anywhere from three to six paragraphs!

I beat tomb raider legend the other day for the first time and I just want to highlight this final cutscene.

This cutscene outlines everything I love about the legend's Lara Croft. I like the survivor trilogy and I'm happy it got me to play this series more, but HOLY SHIT am I obsessed with the 'takes no shit' version of Lara Croft.

Currently running through Underworld and I also bought the remastered collection for 1 - 3, so I can probably say this is a new hyperfixation for me.

Sort of, but I also stole from her collection at the urging of my mentor [Roth], and sort of adopted father, and me and Eva [Tong]...had...an interesting relationship at one point.

Lara hints at a possible romantic relationship she had with Eva Tong when talking to Carmen in a scene in my new fic, "Crofting a Way Forward?: Lara, Artifact Theft, and the Red Woman"
