In Supernatural, the episode titled After School Special is the episode in which Dean references 21 Jump Street

In a 21 Jump Street episode a clown kidnaps a kid from school.

In Supernatural a clown follows kids home and kills their parent in their beds.

A '67 Chevy Impala is mentioned in an early Supernatural episode.

I think one of the writers and/or Kripke liked 21 Jump Street.
