There is a surprising amount of blue(silver) speaking dragons traveling with semi orphans. Two of which are coincidentally named Ben and have dark hair. Hmmmmmmmm.
"Oh you like Dragon Rider? That's cool! Who's your favorite character, probably Twigleg, right? He's always a favorite."
"Erm..."
"No? Oh then it *has* to be Sorrel! Right! She's like everyone's favorite."
"Well..."
"Firedrake! Hey, nothing wrong with that—"
"It's Ben—"
"THE HUMAN!?"
"Yeah..."
"Then who's your second favorite? One of those three—"

Als ich klein war hab ich Cornelia Funkes "Drachenreiter" als Hörbuch gehört und es hat mir ziemlich gefallen.
Und dann sah ich auf Netflix die 2020er Verfilmung. Oder, zumindest den Anfang. Ich hab’s nicht geschafft, weiterzuschauen und musste abschalten, als ich sah, wie sie Schwefelfell dargestellt hatten. Da musste ich sie mal zeichnen, wie ich sie mir damals vorgestellt hatte. Das sah nicht unbedingt so

Quand’ero piccolo avevo sentito l’audiolibro de "Il cavaliere dei draghi" di Cornelia Funke e mi era proprio piaciuto.
E poi ho visto su Netflix il film che ne hanno fatto nel 2020. Beh, almeno l’inizio. Non ce l’ho fatta a continuare, quando ho visto come hanno reso la mia povera cobolda Fiore di Zolfo. L’ho voluta disegnare, come me l’ero immaginata io, mentre s’impinza di deliziosi funghetti.

When I was smaller I listened to the audiobook of Cornelia Funke’s "Dragonrider" and I really liked it.
And then I saw the 2020 movie on Netflix. Well, at least the beginning of it. I couldn’t keep watching, when I saw how they designed my girl Sorrel. So I had to draw her, enjoying some tasty mushrooms.
Synopsis: A dragon. A boy. A journey. Firedrake, a brave young dragon, his loyal brownie friend Sorrel and a lonely boy called Ben are united as if by destiny. Together, they embark on a magical journey to find the legendary place where silver dragons can live in peace for ever. With only a curious map and the whispered memories of an old dragon to guide them, they fly across moonlit lands and seas to reach the highest mountains in the world. Along the way, they discover extraordinary new friends in unlikely places and a courage they never knew they had. Just as well, for the greatest enemy of all is never far behind them - a heartless monster from the past who's been waiting a very long time to destroy the last dragons on earth.
Ok so I wanted to make a venn diagram with two circles about the similarities of Hunter from The Owl House and Twigleg from Dragonrider to show to my friends but I realised that there are too many similarities, so I'll just make post about it.
