Wishing a very happy birthday to everyone's favorite constable, Hugo Johnstone-Burt!
Constable Hugh Collins is a permanently surprised Pikachu when it comes to Miss Fisher. His reaction face is worth the price of admission alone!
Alexander from MMU reminds me too much of Constable Collins from Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries.
And Hazel reminds me of Dot.
Daisy reminds me of a mixture of Dr Mac and Miss Fisher
Is this turning into an au post? Maybe
Hello please do the the friends plotyline where Richard comes back and tells Monica he wants to marry her while Chandler is planning to propose.
Okay so let’s do Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries for this one. Let’s say Hugh and Dot weren’t yet engaged when he had his freakout moment/abandoned her for a few weeks of fishing and Constable Neville tried to shoot his shot.
Hugh is back from fishing and planning to propose to Dot. During his first attempt on a romantic walk, he is thwarted when they come across a murder victim and Constable Neville returns to help with the case. Thanks to Phryne’s teasing hints, Hugh is convinced Dot knows the proposal is coming and asks for help keeping it a surprise. To throw Dot off the scent, Bert and Cec convince her that Hugh is “a complex fellow, unlikely to take a wife.” Jack & Phryne also try to distract Dot in their own ways (Phryne ranting about how marriage is so old-fashioned and unnecessary these days, Jack commenting that Hugh is extremely focused on the current case, etc). Unfortunately, this plot backfires, and Dot thinks Hugh isn’t planning on getting married ever. What’s worse, Neville reveals he’s converted to Catholicism in an attempt to win Dot’s heart. Terrified that he has lost her forever, Hugh rushes around trying to find Dot, even going to the station to see if Neville knows where she is. When he reaches Miss Fisher’s home, Mr. Butler sadly tells him Dot left, even though he told her it was all a ruse. Upset, Hugh allows Mr. B to lead him into the parlor, where Dot is waiting with candles lit and music playing. She attempts to propose but is crying too hard, so Hugh finally gets his chance to pop the question (while Jack, Phryne, Mr. B, Bert, and Cec excitedly eavesdrop from the doorway).
Also if you think this leads to Phrack having loaded discussions about whether Jack will ever marry again/Phryne would ever settle down for anyone you are correct
The Honorable miss Phryne Fisher Lady Detective
