About
This blog is to document what is allowed and not allowed on a 2007 HP Pavilion dv6451us Notebook PC with Manjaro Linux. The original OS was Windows Vista. The decision was made to go with the Manjaro Linux [Gnome] after trying an Ubuntu LiveUSB and Manjaro LiveUSB. There was greater success using the Manjaro LiveUSB in terms of having various things work without adding additional packages or configuration.
Manjaro is a GNU/Linux distribution based on Arch Linux. Manjaro’s strong points are its user-friendly setup and compatibility with the Arch User Repositories [AUR]. It’s seen as a good stepping stone for anyone interested in Arch Linux, but is uncertain of how to use Arch or is intimated by directly going into Arch.
