Stubborn girl. She's just as stubborn as he is and he's not sure whether to admire that or be annoyed by it. Perhaps a little of both, he can admire a strong woman.

If she doesn't want him to take care of the wound, then he won't. He's not going to force her to allow him to tend to her injuries. She should probably consider herself lucky that he had cared enough, in that moment, to even attempt it.

"Suit yourself." He pulls his hand away from her and the now blood-stained fabric. "Did you find out anything useful, at least?" He'll take anything at this point. Location of the demon, what he's doing, whatever she can tell him.

"That's an understatement." Head turns, spitting the blood in his mouth out on the ground. Getting his ass handed to him wasn't what he had in mind today but thankfully, he'll be alright.

Banged up, bruised, probably a few broken bones but nothing a good few glasses of Whiskey and some magic can't fix. He's not too worried about it, even if he looks like a mess right now with his bruised cheek and the cuts across his face, not including the bruises underneath his clothing.

Tangoing with a demon is promised to get him in some sort of trouble but as always, they underestimate him and his access to dark arts.

"You mind, mate? Came here lookin' for a drink, not for someone to point out my shitty day."

FIRST MEETING PROMPTS

Status: ACCEPTING

She’s not human. That much Constantine can practically smell in the air and she’s staring right at him as if she knows him. Not unusual for beings that aren’t human, he does have a nasty habit of pissing them all off, but he can’t quite remember if he’d pissed this beauty off and he’d like to think he’d remember if he pissed off this brand of beauty.

Alluring, captivating, hard to look away from. This one’s a siren. Or at least, partly one. “You’re a long way from home, aren’t ye, lass?” Constantine says smoothly as he brushes pass her to grab the cup of coffee from the barista behind the bar and then he takes a step away from the counter, while his eyes remain on the inhuman woman. Cautious and curious.

connie brought over various colors of paint and brushes. usually, in his own place, he didn’t cover anything up, not caring about paint getting anywhere. but he wasn’t home and luckily remembered to bring plastic and newspaper, already starting to set up in the room. “so what does she like?” standing up straight after taping down some plastic, connie’s eyes found their way to harley, clenching his jaw as his eyes shifted over the other male, checking him out a bit before focusing back on the space he was working with. beside the fact that harley looked… like that… connie was actually flattered that harley asked and happy to be doing this favor for him. @lustafters for harley!

"Good for you, mate." John says as he reaches into his pocket to pull out a pack of cigarettes. Head tilts to look over at Spike as he places the cigarette in his mouth to light it up before he's offering the pack to Spike.

Sure, he knows the man is a vampire but that doesn't mean he can't enjoy a good smoke every now and then, right?

He's pleasantly surprised at how well he's getting along with a vampire right now. It wouldn't be the first undead creature he's made friends with, however.

Meeting Spike on some odd job trying to dispatch some necromantic circle of witches who didn't know what the hell they were doing was not part of the plan but Spike had come in handy considering they had a vampire of their very own in the midst of it all.

"Suppose that's the right mindset to have if you're gonna live an eternity." Curiousity gets the best of the magician and he arches an eyebrow at Spike. "Tell me, mate. What do you believe yourself to live like? To be? You've got a whole eternity ahead of you, you could do anything multiple times over."

"Yeah? Well, wouldn't be my first time dancin' with a demon." The double innuendo is hidden beneath otherwise seemingly normal words as he casts a curious glance Crowley's way.

"You don't seem so scary, mate. Certainly not like the other demons who try an' come for my soul." As long as Crowley doesn't try to kill him....well, he's had alliances with far stranger people.

“Bloody hell.” Demons are no joke and neither is an exorcist. Sometimes, they end in the result of Constantine getting hurt. Like now, where he’s been knocked on his ass. He can taste blood in his mouth and he feels over the pain in his side, only to see blood there when he draws his hand back. Damn demon’s claws really got him good.

He moves to get up, except Iris is there to tell him not to move and gently push him back down - his lips part in a groan of frustration and pain. Damn it. The bloody thing is going to get away if he doesn’t get up and finish this. 

With his vision blurry, he tries to get up again, only to fall back onto his back. “Damn it, it’s gettin’ away!” When he blinks a couple of times, his vision clears, and he sees Iris staring down at him. “Iris? When did you get here?” Where the hell had she even come from?

"What day is it?" If it's a joke, Constantine certainly doesn't show it. The truth is, nightmares haunt him more often than not lately and the confines of his own mind feel more like hell than hell itself.

He'll be fine. He'll either drink until he is black out drunk enough that he doesn't dream or he'll just keep running on whatever fumes he has left until he does pass out from the exhaustion.

He's still human, after all.

"Don't worry your pretty little head over it, love. I'm fine." As fine as someone like him can be. It's not the first time he's stayed up for days straight, there's a few spells he knows that helps him with that anyway.

Not that he intends on telling her that. She looks concerned enough as is and Constantine isn't entirely sure what to do with that. It isn't often someone cares enough to ask if he's sleeping.
