Maine business owner demands answers from his Republican Senator
What would the UK flag look like if it represented its constituent nations proportionally?
from /r/vexillology Top comment: TIL England is only around twice as big as Scotland but 10x more populous. Wow.
The Soviet Union and its constituent republics in the year 2020; Flags (Alternate History)
from /r/vexillology Top comment: In this timeline the USSR never collapsed. From the 1990s onward, many republics of the RSFSR and other federal entities became full members of the union. Contests were held to design flags for all the old and new SSRs and a series of new flags were adopted as a result. The USSR has gradually resumed its anti-colonial march towards greater representation of the many indigenous peoples of the former empire, and its leadership has only become more multi-ethnic over the decades.
Flag of The Republic of Mars, Constituent Republic of the Terran Federation
from /r/vexillology Top comment: I like this design a lot. It's simple but striking, and has great symbolism. I might prefer a deep rust orange, but that's a small quibble. Well done!
If Britain became a republic and had a flag based on a national colour of each constituent nation which is also placed based on geographic location
from /r/vexillology Top comment: Assuming the hoist represents west, etc.
SFR Yugoslavia redesigned in modern day flags of it's former constituent republics.
from /r/vexillology Top comment: North Macedonia and Croatia look super cool
Portugal if it was a constituent and integrated state of the EU
from /r/vexillology Top comment: Nobody: Anti-EU people's vision of what the EU will look like within the next few decades:
The combination of the flags of the Kingdom of Netherlands' four constituent countries (Netherlands, Aruba, Curaçao, and Sint Maarten).
from /r/vexillology Top comment: It's odd because you can tell there's a lot going on, yet it doesn't feel cluttered. I think I like it!
