I came across @getsmytten on IG ads in my feed. Don't think I fully understood what the value was till I went to the website and saw the 'build your own trial kit' for ₹249. Ok, cool. ⠀ .⠀ Both times, I found the catalog limited to beauty and a few food & beverage options. I felt I was forced to fill my trial box with 2 products I really wanted and 2 products I did not. The packaging was a fairly standard brown box and bubble wrapped products - really wish this wasn't the case because I find myself less than delighted when unboxing till I get to the actual products. Their ads and fanreels show much nicer boxes so maybe I am missing something here. ⠀ .⠀ The full size and trial products themselves are pretty cool - I've discovered some great new buys and knocked a few off my list that I'd been curious about. I would totally order these as a cute pick-me-up gifts for friends and family - IF ONLY the packaging would match up. ⠀ .⠀ I downloaded the app but found it confusing and not very credible. Getting 3 'free' trials only to pay for ₹168 for shipping + ₹31 GST for each of them didn't add up to me. The party line is that the ₹168 will be returned if you come back to the app and buy a full size product from @getsmytten, so if I wanted to hedge a good deal in the long run - kinda like the groupon era of deals - I suppose it would make sense. But I found the app store reviews questionable and the didn't trust myself to remember to come back and shop here specifically because I had a discount in the tank. ⠀ . . . ⠀ ⠀ 🍬 Overall: 3/5⠀ ❓Would I get a trial box again?
