Contact-Improvisation
Contact-Improvisation (or CI) is the freest partner dance in the world. Everyone comes with different levels of comfort with touch, taking time to listen to each dance intently and with care. Invented in the 70s, Contact-Improvisation is danced during social practices called « jams ». There is no special body type for contact (disabled people sometimes join). There is no special mood for contact, everyone creating their own vibe on the moment. There is no special music for contact, sometimes there is no music or often eclectic or experimental music)
Alexandre Have been facilitating many event involving CI, and he uses a lot of CI elements in his tango and shibari teaching. (Experimental rope-dance workshops in France, Ukraine, Germany, Argentina, Uruguay, Denmark) He organized practices of CI interlaced with tango, participating to the avant-garde tango scene in Buenos Aires and Europe

Queer is a perspective not an identity, an action verb not a static noun, a process not a utopia. Queering intimacy is an invitation to reconsider how two humans (or more) can increase the freedom potential of improvised dancing.
