Continental Knitting

So I figure after I am done with the 2 knit projects I currently have in my bin of #wips, I will focus on learning continental knitting. Does anyone have any advice? Me being a crocheter aka hooker tends to affect my going back and forth and I have been told that continental knitting would be better for me.
