An underbarrel flamethrower certainly is a statement.

A Finnish Guard at the Front Line with a Submachine Gun, Metsäpirtti, 17 January 1942
In December 1941, the front lines stabilized, and the war became a positional conflict in Metsäpirtti as well. Guard duty and patrolling continued relentlessly day and night in the cold, snowy forest, testing the men constantly. In some sectors, fierce clashes still took place. A single mistake could jeopardize the front line, making constant vigilance essential.
•••••••• [ sa-kuva | 70262 | M.Persson ]

shoutout to that one finnish dude with enough methed-up sisu to give god “alzheimer’s requiem” who went on a wild ride through the karelian wilderness for like a month during the continuation war
