Randomly thinking about GA:S3 and the characters who will not be coming back and how certain I am that Contract Renewals played a part of that and randomly decided to put rough monetary values on how much money I would bet on that factor if I actually bet money. Why? I'm tired and currently very easily amused.
(And no, I haven't done any actual research on the subject. I'm too busy trying to get my brain to put story ideas down on paper already.)
Richard Clay: $20. It would have been more right up until that parting shot of his. Now I'm not 100% certain he's actually gone.
Charles Fane: $100-$200. Given that divorce was a Big Topic at the time and therefore would have to be addressed, especially with Bertha being based on Alva Vanderbilt, there's a healthy chance this would have happened anyway. It still feels like something prompted it to be now, though, and given that it was season three........ Decent enough odds to make me play money that counts as 'real'.
John Adams: Minimum 6 months mortgage. Especially since from what I've read JF took the original end to Matthew's story line from DA:S3 and changed the details. Everything about that says "His Lordship was forced to permanently break up one of his couples and boy does he hate that."
Ward McAllister: One year's mortgage plus a year's wages. Ward McAllister publishes Society As I Have Found It a full six years early? That's not a bet, that's an investment opportunity.
