He was back, he was alive. It had been weeks and nothing bad had happened. He was sure his body was fine but just couldn’t shake the feeling something was different... Enough so that he wanted a medical opinion. He’d waited till Eddie was out and conjured a door right into the District, next to the clinic where the man he was looking for had set up, Zach hadn’t seen Josh in months, he felt he’d been a different person then, but he still knocked and entered, luckily the other was alone inside.

“Josh, I don’t suppose you’ve got a little time to put a mind at ease, have you?” he asked, keeping his face expressionless, voice calm.

She’d been reviewing folders, studied footage and had underlings monitor District X’s boarders constantly waiting for a chance; no her chance had come. Joshua Foley beyond the protective walls of his home out healing a human of all things. The thought made her want to curl her lip in distaste as her soldiers surrounded them, dampeners in action and guns trained on the pair. 

She waited till they were in place before making herself visible, walking through her Agents to come upon the scene, her face expressionless. She made a show of studying the pair, “Take the girl and get her home safe,” she quietly commanded, an agent swiftly following her command, “Mr. Foley, do know how many laws you are currently in breach of?” she asked, voice again empty and soft.

“You disappoint me Matteo…honestly I thought you were a nice person. What would I have to do to earn the right to know?”

“I never said I wasn’t nice,” Matteo stated, a low chuckle in his tone. “Sometimes I just like to see someone work for what they want.”
