There were many things that Greta could not stand, and as far as her brother’s little insect went, Willow was quite near the top of that list. The way Willow dragged herself around, the hesitation in which she carried out Hans’ orders - the very fact that she did carry out her brother’s orders. It was enough to make Greta want to lock the girl in an isolation chamber and see what efforts needed to be taken to exterminate her from her life, permanently.
It was possible, after all, the fact that Willow was the last of her kind was all the proof Greta needed. But there was a time and a place for everything and so long as the Breadcrumbs remained closed, she had use for the wisp.
“Draw!”
Greta shouted from the yard before the telltale sound of her rifle went off and overhead, her target shattered into a thousand, tiny little pieces. Once upon a time her Father had loved to take her hunting, as was the case with most things, Greta had excelled. Though she had no taste for the wilderness, or for game in general, she was an excellent shot and enjoyed the sport for what it was. That being said, there were more than a few roe buck’s and russian boars on the walls of her families’ home that she herself had personally taken down.
She knew Willow would be returning soon, she could not stand to be apart from Hans for too long and like clockwork, the wisp appeared on the grounds. “Have that creature brought to my office and make her wait there, watch her, I’d like a word with her.”
Greta returned the rifle and went to her quarters to change from her hunting attire to something more fitting for the lab. She purposefully took her time, knowing full well that Willow would dislike being forced to sit and wait in her office. Part of her hoped that the wisp would show more acts of defiance, though unlike Hans the torture that Greta preferred was more emotional than physical.
After making the wisp wait an inappropriate amount of time, Greta headed towards her office and smiled expectantly as she pulled open the door.
