Top 5 New Years Resolutions
Happy New Year to all! We hope you had a lovely Christmas break and are feeling refreshed for a brand new year. Now is great time for fresh new starts, many of you will have made resolutions for a better you in 2017, here's a look at some great ones, and how to keep them!
1. Learn a new skill. Whether this is something creative, like painting, or the challenge of mountain climbing, new skills can also give you the opportunity to meet new people and make life-long friends. If your challenge has been to learn how to cook, our Kitchen Classics course is perfect, or for a one-off session try our Chicken-4-ways, giving you creative ways to use a whole free-range chicken. For those wanting something more creative, our Sugarcraft Flowers course is a 2 week masterclass in using sugar paste to create amazing edible bouquets!
2. Sort your finances. This is Claire's resolution for 2017!!! For those not wanting to compromise too much on lifestyle, apps like Wriggle, are great for last minute offers. Also look out for our Special Offers page...coming soon!
3. Eat less meat. This can be challenging for a lot of us, used to adding meat to every meal, but research is clear that less meat consumed will mean less strain on the environment, as well as on our health. Just one meat-free meal a week will help, and for ideas on Vegetarian meals, take a look at our Vegetarian Workshops, which cover a variety of exciting menus.
4. Spend more time with family and friends. It only takes something small to put everything into perspective, and make us realise we should make the most of each day, and spend more of it with those we love. Surprising those with a fun day out or activity is a great way to show you care....A Sunday afternoon making Bread (without the washing up!) could be just the thing, and if you're already feeling romantic, take a look at our Valentines Truffle workshop.
5. Feel better. This could be stopping smoking, cutting down on booze, loosing some weight, or getting into jogging, anything to make you feel better about yourself to improve your confidence throughout. Just a small change can make all the difference. Looking for something fun and different to do Friday night, which doesn't involve the pub?! How about our brand new Chinese Street Food workshop!
We would like to wish you all the best with whatever your goals or resolutions are for 2017, and we hope to welcome you in to Little Kitchen at some point this year!
