It wasn’t the size of Wayne Manor that awed Stellar, but rather the CLASS of it. It was practically a castle, walls and all. Speaking of which, she now had to scale those. She took her clawgun out of the civie hoodie she was wearing over her suit, and fired it at the top of the wall. Despite trying to tone down her superhero-ness, she had kept the domino mask on. Well, kept was a strong word. The superglue thing made her hesitant to peel it off.
The clawgun latched onto a mini parapet decorating the wall, and clicked. She pulled the trigger again, and after a moment of anticipation, the cable rewound at a ferocious speed, yeeting her to the top of the wall. She landed as the claw released the parapet, letting the cable fully rewind itself.
She looked over the beautifully maintained shrubbery in the yard. It was wonderfully empty. She race across the yard, hop to the roof, and then… search for Jade up there. And then she just had to do the reverse with cookies under her arm. No biggie.
It occurred to her as she ran that this was crazy. She didn’t know Jade, and she didn’t know the Waynes, and she didn’t know what she was doing. But she had talked to Grayson over the phone, and she had survived the speedster-at-her-doorstep incident. So this probably wasn’t dangerous. And she wanted to see Jade.
Jade seemed to get things in a way the others didn’t.
