Savor these delicious Donut Holes filled with Chocolate Cookie Butter for a divine dessert. These little doughnuts are the ideal way to sate your sweet tooth because they are stuffed with delicious cookie butter.
Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1/2 tsp baking powder. 1/4 tsp salt. 1/4 cup buttermilk. 1/4 cup milk. 1 large egg. 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted. 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. 1/4 cup chocolate chips. 1/4 cup cookie butter. Oil for frying.
Instructions: Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt in a mixing bowl. Mix the buttermilk, milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl. Once a smooth batter forms, pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir. Mix chocolate chips into batter by folding them in. Preheat the oil in a deep fryer or saucepan to 175C 350F. To make donut holes, drop tiny amounts of the batter into the heated oil using a tiny cookie scoop or spoon. Fry for two to three minutes per batch, or until they are cooked through and golden brown. After removing the donut holes from the oil, set them on a plate covered with paper towels to absorb any leftover oil. When the doughnut holes are cool enough to handle, load a piping bag with doughnut butter and press the tip deep into each hole, packing plenty of doughnut butter inside. Enjoy and warm up!
