Indulge in the rich and creamy goodness of this Cookies and Cream Pie with a chocolate cookie crust and a luscious chocolate filling topped with whipped cream.
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed. 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted. 2 cups heavy cream. 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 1 tsp vanilla extract. 1/4 tsp salt. 1 cup whipped cream. Additional crushed cookies for garnish.
Instructions: To make the crust mixture, combine the melted butter and crushed cookies in a bowl. To make the crust, press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a pie pan. Place in the fridge to chill while you make the filling. The heavy cream should be heated in a saucepan over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Take off the heat. Allow the semisweet chocolate chips to soften for a minute after adding them to the heated cream. Next, whisk the mixture until the chocolate has melted completely and it becomes smooth. Add the salt, vanilla extract, and granulated sugar and stir until well combined. Let the mixture cool down a little. After the cookie crust has been prepared, pour in the chocolate filling and spread it evenly. Chill for a minimum of four hours or until solidified. After the pie cools, cover it with whipped cream and add more crushed cookies as a garnish. After slicing, present your mouthwatering Cookies and Cream Pie!
