These Christmas Cookie Cups are adorable and tasty treats that are ideal for holiday gatherings. The buttery cookie cups are filled with assorted holiday-themed candies, giving each bite a burst of festive flavors.
Ingredients: 1 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 large egg. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon salt. Assorted holiday-themed candies for filling e.g., chocolate chips, M&M's, crushed candy canes.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 350F 175C and grease a mini muffin tin. Put the softened butter and sugar in a large bowl and mix them together until they are light and fluffy. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until everything is well mixed. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a different bowl. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients one at a time until a dough forms. Small pieces of dough should be pressed into each mini muffin cup to make a cup shape. After the oven is hot, bake the cookie cups for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown. As soon as you take the muffin tin out of the oven, press a holiday-themed candy into the middle of each cookie cup. The cookie cups should cool for 5 minutes in the muffin tin before being moved to a wire rack to cool all the way down. You can serve and enjoy the Christmas Cookie Cups once they have cooled down.
