Our annual much enjoyed visit from the Girl Scouts is this Saturday March 11 at Martine’s. On Saturday from 9:30am-1:00pm Martine's Pastries welcomes Junior Girl Scout Troop 815 from the fourth grade at The Lexington School for their Girl Scout Cookie sale at the shop. And, Waffles Caturdays will feature a Girl Scout cookie garnished waffle. The troop will set up inside the bakery and customers can bring home boxes of Girl Scout Cookies in addition to their morning coffee, savories, waffles, cakes and pastries. Cookies will be $5 per box ($6 for Gluten Free Caramel Chocolate Chip). Cash, check, PayPal, VENMO, and credit card accepted. Flavors available (while supplies last) will be Thin Mints, Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Toast-Yay, Trefoils (formerly Shortbreads), Lemonades, Caramel Chocolate Chip, and Adventurefuls. Every Girl Scout Cookie purchase goes to Girl Scouts’ adventures through the year. Troops get a portion of every box sold. Following the Girl Scout values of money management, Troop 815 plans to give some back to their school, some to a Reusable Water Bottle troop initiative, and save some for future activities and events. “I met Martine over 16 years ago in the wedding industry and could immediately feel her passion for her craft,” says troop co-leader Amy Campbell with @amycampbellphotography “For Martine to invite our troop to sell cookies at her bakery says so much about her character. She understands the bigger picture of why Girl Scouts sell cookies. The boxes of cookies are teaching tools for our girls to learn money management, goal setting, decision making, and good customer service skills. The girls had such a fun time last year selling in a real bakery and hope to see several repeat customers!"
