This pot roast recipe features a rich and flavorful coffee-infused gravy, adding depth to the tender beef. Perfect for a cozy dinner or a special occasion.
Ingredients: 3 lbs beef chuck roast. 2 tbsp olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste. 1 onion, chopped. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 1 cup brewed coffee. 1 cup beef broth. 2 tbsp flour. 2 tbsp butter.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 325F 160C. Add salt and pepper to the beef chuck roast. A big pot that can go in the oven should have olive oil in it. For about three to four minutes on each side, sear the roast on all sides until it turns brown. Take the roast out of the pot and set it aside. Put chopped onion and minced garlic in the same pot. About 3 minutes of cooking will soften the food. Add brewed coffee and beef broth to the pot and scrape up any browned bits on the bottom. Put the roast back in the pot. Cover and put in an oven that has already been heated. Roast the beef for two and a half to three hours, or until it is soft and can be torn apart with a fork. Take the roast out of the pot and set it on a cutting board to rest. Pour the cooking liquid through a strainer into a saucepan. Throw away the solids. Make a paste out of flour and butter in a small bowl. Add the flour and butter paste to the cooking liquid and mix them together. Stir the gravy all the time over medium-low heat for about 5 minutes, or until it gets thicker. Cut the roast into pieces and serve it with the coffee gravy. Have fun!
