you know, I have developed a 'bad' habit of actually looking up the quotes people throw at me to justify their bullshit.

Decides to take a peek and see what this may be about, that's even funnier than I anticipated.

I figured the Saul to Paul switch was enough on my end there, but it's even better to pull the actual verses out. Even if not though it's not like Jewish rules apply, people love to quote Leviticus with things like clothing made of more than material not actually realizing they're being low key antisemitic.

Also still waiting for things like that one to pop up and try to pwn the Islamic community, for some reason those don't seem to pop uptoo often.

And now I'm suddenly struck by the reminder that I think there was a note on Roxy's original appearance where she talked about how Jane was straight and Dirk was gay, which limited her own romantic interests terribly, especially as Jane only had eyes for Jake.

While Roxy never called Jane straight, it’s still pretty heavily implied by Jane only showing attraction to men, as well as moments like this

Obviously I wouldn’t mind a bisexual awakening arc, but I cannot trust these writers or the current fandom to actually call her bisexual.

okay now I have a sudden question. Two, really. How does he treat female characters who are emotionally strong vs ones who are emotionally weak, and how he treats female characters who are presumably desired by men against those who he presumes men don't consider sexually interesting?

Well, typically when people point out strong female characters or female characters that are popular, Dobson complains about how that’s just giving them “masculine traits” so it’s not really good representation or whatever. Remember, this is the guy who thinks Metroid: Other M is the best Metroid game ever because “Samus has emotions”.

As for the “attractiveness to men” thing, I think the best example of that is his extreme hatred of Quiet.

And now we're stuck with the oddest of moments. Who do we believe, the random person claiming to be at the location, or the other random person claiming to be at the location? One's being noted in the news, the other's somebody posting on Tumblr. That honestly leaves them equal in lack of believably in my perspective, but it's still a baffling moment to me.

Yet more reason politics is fucking bullshit and I hope that whatever war comes out of this happens already so we can get it over with.
