Jirara in my pride outfit + the bag I got at pride :3
(The he/him pin was used to pin my trans flag like a cape but I didn’t want to draw that. I also didn’t want to draw my skeleton leather jacket but I also only wore it for half the time I was at pride so 👍)
✨🤩 This red Game Boy Pocket set I got is so beautiful 🤩✨
Ramona flowers!! i ALSO love scott pilgrim vs the world and i drew this for a class i had and i think it was the first scott pilgrim fanart i ever did and it brings back so many memories
Another thing I ran out of energy to add tonight: a new, bigger under seat bag!
A.k.a. a kids' lunch bag, with clip-on shoulder strap to hang it from the frame with--while also leaving the bag easily removable. Bonus: Cute cartoon dinosaur pattern! (Which I expected to come on a black background rather than dark blue, but it'll still work. Maybe especially hanging underneath the chair. 😁)
I picked this bag up for around £10 on Amazon, after running across the tip on Reddit recently. Can't find the post I was looking for, but here are a couple of other threads with some other helpful suggestions: Any recommendations on wheelchair bags? and Bags for the back of a wheelchair?
Some good tips elsewhere: Gear Hacks: Backpacks and Under-Chair Bags
Oh yeah, that front pocket can also zip up securely. 👍
As it was, after finally installing those spoke reflectors and hub lights, I got the existing under-seat bag removed with its attachment straps. (That small bag that came with the chair, which I've just been using as a tool pouch.) So that I can move it onto the back of the frame, and hang Dino Bag where that one was, at the front so that I can reach down and access it easily.
Then of course I ran out of steam before I could get either bag onto the chair! It's been a long day. Hopefully I can get that done tomorrow! Shouldn't be too complicated, with any luck--just a little fiddly.
Another benefit to the cheapo lunch bag solution: Dino Bag is also passably insulated!
So, besides being convenient for more general small cold item transport in warmer weather? One additional tentative plan is to slip in a suitable ice pack or two, and use it for hauling my unopened insulin pen stash along with us to Sweden as part of our carry-on crap. All of them should hopefully fit into Dino Bag okay, bad as I can be at estimating sizes.
(Not that those would absolutely need to stay chilled for no longer a trip than that should be, but just to be safe.)
I do feel kind of silly even planning to lug a whole dedicated sack o' insulin onto a plane--alongside the usual supplies of other meds I really don't need to lose, and gluten free snacks! But, what are you going to do? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ That's disability for you.
