DJ Cool Herc is arguably the father of Hip Hop as we know it and he, like many Americans has fallen ill and has no health care to help with some of his recently acquired medical bills. As an advocate for the advancement of Hip Hop and just an overall Hip Hop enthusiast of the Hip Hop generation I feel obligated to inform people not of just the latest songs and trends but about the human interests stories of the people who built Hip Hop from the ground up; Cool Herc is definitely one of those people.
