Hell, maybe it wasn’t even a hallucination. House probably fell asleep again, and it was a dream.
Come to think of it, yeah, that’s the obvious answer. House was tired and bored and for just a minute or two he fell asleep in that uncomfortable chair at the meeting table, and his bitch of a subconscious decided to show him the very man he’s been doing everything in his power to avoid thinking about.
In other words, this is frustrating - but not concerning. There is no need whatsoever for concern.
