Ever seen a clogged AC cooling coil? 🙄 The evaporator core also known as cooling coil is a heat exchanger in a car's A/C system. Cold, low-pressure liquid refrigerant enters the evaporator and warm air from inside the car passes through it by action of the blower motor. Since heat always travels from a warmer area to a cooler area, the cooler refrigerant flowing inside the evaporator core absorbs heat from the warm air. A slightly warmer refrigerant then moves on to the compressor and repeats the cycle. Air-conditioning in essence does not actually cool your car's interior but what it really does is remove heat and humidity from cabin's air. Your coils can naturally become dirty over tine when particles such as soot, pollen and debris accumulate and there is no way of preventing it. Maintaining a clean cabin filter could help a bit in keeping the coil clean. A clogged cooling coil decreases cooling capacity and could potentially damage your A/C compressor. Servicing cooling coils is not an easy task by any means as it involves stripping down the entire dashboard (in most cars) to access the part. Fortunately, in this case (Toyota Fortuner) it's fairly accessible and can be easily serviced. ❄️ . . . . #airconditioning #ac #chill #coolingcoil #evaporatorcore #service #maintenance #manandmachine #wecare #justkeepdriving (at Madhapur) https://www.instagram.com/p/B8X_NE5pUMT/?igshid=x0wlc2cc158g
