You can do a lot of prep work for a project (70+ sketchs of varying quality) and end up using little to none of it in the final drawing

(learned this a while ago but still applicable) micron pens are a warm black

Can't find a ref for an oddly positioned thing? Find a free 3D model of it (obj) and throw it in design doll

Look up tutorials

Texture is an illusion

Sometimes you have to break a rib for the composition of the piece

Tracing paper: when you want to test something but don't want to ruin your art

If you are unsure for sharing, start light, you can always go darker

Happy accidents are a positive attitude plus creativity

Test elements in your sketch book while working on the drawing

Wanna know the worst thing about college? It’s not the homework, or going out, or the people, oh no.

It’s needing to sleep and only having 2 hours before you have to get ready for class, and then waking up every 10 minutes in fear of not setting the alarm you already checked to make sure was on.

class schedule registration shit went up on the college wobblesite and like

i have one class i’m absolutely fucking required to take next semester as i’m a senior bio major and it’s on fridays from 1 to 2, and that conflicts with one of the classes i really want to take in the CS department so i emailed the prof “IF I MISSED EVERY FRIDAY, HOW BAD WOULD THAT BE” and i’m having flashbacks to second semester freshman year where i skipped every friday of calc 3 to go to bio 112 and jfc that was a nightmare why am i even considering doing that again
