- Ben grew up in a town, he moved in with his grandma when he was 13 after his parents died. He has lived in this town more than he hasn’t lived in it. When he arrived, he was an angry and confused young boy. He would have done anything for his grandma who took him in and raised him. But outside of them? He was argumentative and fought his classmates. He didn’t have a great reputation or many friends.
- The one thing he always loved was reading mystery novels. He loved books and reading but always favored the mystery genre.
- Ben did go to university just on his grandma’s urging and pleading. He studied English which shocked no one that knew him or knew anything of him.
- He was in his sophomore year when his grandma passed. He left university, sad and angry once again. He had been left everything and to deal with feelings besides fighting— that was when he started to write.
- He doesn’t have the greatest reputation in town which he knows but doesn’t care all that much. Unless he needs something from someone or wants to present himself in a different way….for his favor. More about his reputation will be worked on as I form past connections and enemy connections for him so please give me reasons!!
- Ben is the last of his family and lives in a big old house all by himself which many view as both odd and fitting. As a horror writer, it makes sense he’d want to live in this big, old, empty, and drafty all by himself
- Ben is a successful horror writer but does use a pseudonym to at least have an air of mystery around him. It is pretty well known secret to those in town but outside Coolsville, Ben Ravencroft is almost a no-body which he both loves and hates. He was the recognition but he also doesn’t want perceptions of him to affect sales.
